I've never been one for expensive or more high end products. I've always been skeptical about how good they are compared to cheaper products. My skins always been pretty bad through teenage years and most products I've tried have never worked, probably because i didn't know about different skin types back then... But i decided to jump into the deep end and at least try a more expensive brand.
Liz Earle has always had a massive hype about it and I've never heard anything bad about their products so i had a good old rake through their website and found the healthy beautiful skin kit which contains - Cleanse & polish, Instant boost skin tonic, Skin repair light moisturizer & x1 Muslin cloth. Its basically their Travel/Starter Kit. Which i thought was a brilliant idea as its a lot cheaper then the full sized products and it meant i could test the product range and judge if they were worth the money.
I'll definitely be purchasing these products again when it hits pay day as i was amazed at how lovely the products felt on my skin and how you instantly saw a difference the next morning!
Cleanse & Polish - Step 1
Its a rich smooth cream that you apply all over the face, It removes daily grime and makeup, Which when i first used the cream i was worried to put it around my eyes as your always told as a child and even an adult to always keep cream away from your eyes as it could make you blind! (don't know if anyone else felt like that - might just be me), Once you've applied the cream you then wipe it off in circular motions with the muslin cloth which i thought would be quite harsh on the skin but it was extremely soft and i'd definitely recommend for sensitive skin. I was impressed by how quickly and easily the product removed my makeup specially around my eyes (i.e mascara) and how soft and squeaky clean my face looked. The product has a slight smell to it also which is barely noticeable but i quite like that in products (specially products that go on your face)
Instant Boost Skin Tonic - Step 2
I applied this with a cotton pad and sweeped it over my face. It felt really light, refreshing and had a stronger scent to it but fortunately i liked the smell. The product is said to revitalize and brighten the skin, Which i totally agree with as the next day my skin was much brighter and full of life.
Skin Repair Light Moisturizer - Step 3
When purchasing the product you get to choose your skin type, Which pleased me massively as i have combination/oily skin which can be made worse by certain moisturizers. I was amazed at how light the moisturizer was on my skin and how quickly it sunk in, usually even oil free moisturizers sit on top of my skin and don't leave it feeling soft. The next day i definitely noticed a difference in my blemishes, they had reduced and my face wasn't as red as usual so the repairing aspect of the cream had definitely worked. One thing i didn't like about this product though was the smell, was a bit too overpowering.
Hope this blog has helped anyone in choosing a first high end skincare product.
Much Love xoxo
